Dogs are welcome on the front… read more terrace and always receive a treat. There’s a good selection of food on offer and often a weekly specials menu. We have always enjoyed our meals here. The roof terrace is lovely on a sunny day just to sit and watch the world go by with a glass or two. I would recommend this cafe bar.

The food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long considering it was very busy at the time.
We all felt that the prices were very reasonable too.
Couldn’t fault it and we will definitely be returning.

Fully covered, with heaters for when it got a bit chilly, what is there to complain about? The food was delicious also, and we very much enjoyed our drinks (would very much recommend the cocktail pitchers). The service was good; the staff had it running like clockwork and were being very covid-conscious. It was a wonderful night out all round!

One thing to note: if you’re going to make the bathrooms a one in one out rule, then I’d suggest stopping groups of girls from going in all at once to take photos with each other. I didn’t care but others might.

I have the chicken club sandwich on gluten free bread and it was amazing. Best sandwich I’ve had out and about for a long time. Service was really quick which meant myself and my partner were in and out within the hour, even had time for a quick look in Dawsons next door. A very well run establishment and would highly recommend.

I’m happy to say that’s not the case with Maxwells. We are regulars here because they just get it right. The food is consistently good, it’s clean, friendly and well priced.

There’s plenty of space inside, outside and upstairs with a large roof seating area to take your pick from.

The whole team are excellent and it’s an a very enjoyable experience.
